I loved this book. I have always been a fan of fairy tales (the original ones, not the Disney versions) and don't think we pay enough attention to them in the modern world. The author of this story agrees. She wrote this book and Beastly (yes we have this in the library) highlighting different parts of many different tales. Many of the references to tales in the book I was not sure about, but there is a great author's note in the back addressing the different tales she used. This book had humor, adventure (there is a quest!), and some talking animals...how can you beat that!?
