So many questions at the beginning of this book. What really happened to Max's father? Did his mother REALLY kill his father? I don't know how to pick a lock, but Max in the story does and he can do much more. He is a 14 year old escape artist much like his hero, Harry Houdini. Max uses his talents to find out the answers to these questions in this adventure. I like books where kids have to go off on their own and solve pretty big mysteries. If you like the Alex Rider series I know you will like this. I am also pretty sure Paul Adam will write a sequel.
