Janitors by Tyler Whitesides

I enjoyed this book the first time I read it a couple of years ago, and I enjoyed it just as much the second time I read it this past week.  What a great fantasy about how janitors are saving students from apathy, distraction causing "toxites" that come in the form of strange looking little creatures.  It was even better meeting the author, Tyler Whitesides, this past week.  He worked as a janitor to earn money to put himself through college and this is where he came up with the idea for the book.  I loved his message: "Make the ordinary extraordinary."  Book two has just been released and is available at our library.
