Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

I had a dear friend from high school that committed suicide.  All his friends and family just wanted to know why.  In this novel Hannah Baker tells people why she chose to take her own life.  As Clay Jensen learns through the audio tapes that Hannah leaves it was not just one thing that made her come to this decision but one that led to another that led to another, etc. etc.  It is a powerful message that "everything affects everything."  It makes you realize everything you say to people, may not effect YOU, but may effect them and their feelings of self worth.  We must always remember to treat others how we want to be treated.  This book really makes yo
