Virals by Kathy Reichs

  I enjoyed this book.  I liked that the main character is a strong unafraid and slightly nerdy girl who loves science.  In fact all her friends are similar to her.  I like books where people are exposed to some mysterious compound and it gives them special powers.  This book has that as well as a cold case murder that has to be solved.  The story continues in the second one called Seizure which we also have in the library.  (I liked that one too and I'm hoping the author continues to write more with these characters).
